North Central College is seeking two positions of Graduate Assistant, Men’s Cross Country/Track & Field for the 2012-2013 school year.
Job Description – Two positions are available. The candidate will assist the head coach in all aspects of the program, including but not limited to: recruiting, retention, home-meet management, travel, administrative duties, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. The candidate must have the ability to effectively recruit and retain quality student-athletes. The ability to effectively communicate through oral, written and electronic forms with recruits, admissions, current student-athletes, and current coaches is critically important.
Job Requirements – To qualify for a Graduate Assistantship, you must be unconditionally accepted as a graduate degree student at North Central College and must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.00 at the time of application. These are 10-month appointments (mid-August through mid-June) averaging 20 hours per week, with a maximum two year appointment. Graduate Assistants receive tuition waivers and a monetary stipend based on the position appointment.
