2013 USTFCCCA Convention Highlight: Symposiums

NEW ORLEANS – Veteran coaches and various experts in related fields will share their knowledge on a wide range of topics during the Symposium presentations at the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Convention.

Monday, December 16, marks the beginning of a three-day span featuring 42 total presentations that will cover all disciplines of track & field and cross country, giving convention attendees the unique opportunity to learn directly from many of the profession’s top practitioners. Many of the presenters of the 32 technical development symposiums have coached their student-athletes and teams to national titles, All-America honors and/or conference championships.

In addition to the technical development sessions, the USTFCCCA Convention will host a series of 10 professional development sessions — also guided by some of the nation’s premier coaches — specifically geared toward assistant coaches and high school coaches.

A listing of confirmed Symposium speakers, along with brief biographies for each, can be found on the Symposiums page of the USTFCCCA Convention Website.

This is the first in a weekly series that each Monday morning will highlight different aspects of the 2013 USTFCCCA Convention and feature a unique facet of the convention experience.
