2014 USTFCCCA Convention Registration is Now Open
NEW ORLEANS – Registration is now open for the nation’s signature event for track & field coaches: the 2014 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Convention at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Ariz., from December 15-18.
A record number of coaches attended the 2013 edition of the annual USTFCCCA Convention – ranging from the veteran to the up-and-coming, across all levels of the sport – and an even larger contingent is expected this year.
Those who make the trip to Phoenix will have opportunities over the four-day Convention to grow professionally through technical symposiums and business meetings, to network with coaches from around the nation, and to partake in several social events throughout the week.
Convention-goers can attend the Convention’s annual premier events: the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner and the presentation of The Bowerman Trophy.
In addition to those events, female coaches are also invited to attend a free special program entitled, "Women In Coaching." Taking place before the official start of Convention on Sunday, December 14, the program will feature keynote speakers addressing the challenges faced by female coaches through the lens of professional development.
Separate from the Convention registration, the Track & Field Academy will hold several courses at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa from Saturday, December 13, through Monday, December 15.
Additionally, a new, two-day strength & conditioning course from the Track & Field Academy will be held Thursday, December 18 and Friday, December 19.
Visit the 2014 USTFCCCA Convention website for more information.
A weekly series beginning next Monday will highlight different aspects of the 2014 USTFCCCA Convention and feature a unique facet of the convention experience.
