NEW ORLEANS — For all intents and purposes, we’ve reached the end of the regular season in NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field.
While there may be a few qualifying meets left, conference championships are right around the corner and would you believe us if we said the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Champoinships are less than four weeks away?
Well, we took a look at what happened so far during the season and decided to hand out some awards.
- Performance of the Year (Male/Female)
- Newcomer of the Year (Male/Female)
- Story Line of the Year (Overall)
- Most Valuable Performer (Male/Female)
But that’s not all!
Speaking of awards, Great Oak High School coach Doug Soles won some impressive hardware earlier this month.
Soles was named the 2015 National High School Boys Cross Country Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Great Oak had quite the season as it set numerous California state records, won the CIF Division I title and captured the Nike Cross Nationals crown in Oregon.
In this week’s featured interview, Soles talks about his coaching methods, his team and much more.
