REGISTER NOW For the 2016 USTFCCCA Convention
NEW ORLEANS – Starting today, registration is live for the 2016 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Convention – the country’s preeminent track & field coaching gathering – at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes Resort & Spa on December 13-16.
Attendance of last year’s annual USTFCCCA Convention in San Antonio was higher than ever before with nearly 1,600 Convention-goers. Among them were many of the nation’s most accomplished coaches at all levels of the sport, as well as up-and-coming coaches from around the country.
Continuing the Convention’s trend of growth each and every year, that number is expected to be even higher this year as the Association continues to expand its partnerships with the NAIA, NJCAA and high school associations, all of which will conduct business meetings at Convention throughout the week.
USTFCCCA member coaches can register for Convention for $300, giving them an opportunity to take full advantage of the four-day event. The festivities begin the evening of Tuesday, December 13, with technical symposiums (presented by Connor Sports) and run through the presentation of The Bowerman Award the night of Friday, December 16.
Throughout those four days, coaches will be able to partake in:
- Professional development opportunities through technical symposiums (presented by some of the country’s most experienced coaches) and business meetings
- Networking opportunities with coaches from around the nation
- Social events throughout the week
Convention-goers get exclusive access to a pair of collegiate track & field’s annual premier events. Wednesday, December 14, will see the Class of 2016’s induction into the USTFCCCA Hall of Fame, followed on Friday by the presentation of The Bowerman to the most outstanding college track & field student-athletes of this most recent season.
Nine meals will be provided throughout the week, including three dinners served in conjunction with the Hall of Fame, The Bowerman and the annual MONDO Dinner.
Separate from the Convention registration, the Track & Field Academy will hold several courses at the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes Resort & Spa. Courses will be offered both prior to and following the Convention, including such popular offerings as the Track & Field Technical Certification (TFTC) and the Strength & Conditioning Coach Certification.
See the Track & Field Academy homepage for more information.
The JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes Resort & Spa serves as the primary hotel for the week’s festivities, with rooms also available in the adjoining Ritz Carlton Orlando Grande Lakes. Hotel rooms are not included in the cost of registration, but both locations are offering Convention-exclusive reservation rates.
A weekly series beginning next Monday will highlight different aspects of the 2016 USTFCCCA Convention and feature a unique facet of the convention experience.
