CONVENTION UPDATE ::: Connor Sports to Present Technical Symposiums

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) is pleased to announce Connor Sports will once again be the presenting sponsor of the USTFCCCA Convention’s technical symposiums, annually one of the Convention’s most popular attractions.

Connor Sports, a worldwide leader in the design and installation of track & field surfaces, will be the presenting sponsor for the 32 technical symposium sessions during the Convention in Orlando, Florida, on December 13-16 at the Orlando Grande Lakes Resort.

Each of the four main track & field disciplines – sprints/hurdles, endurance, jumps, and throws – will be covered in eight insightful sessions apiece made by some of the top coaches from around the country.

Among the numerous world-class coaches lined up to present are:

Harry Marra – Coach of Ashton Eaton (decathlon and heptathlon world record-holder; two-time Olympic gold medalist; five-time IAAF World Champion) and Brianne Theisen-Eaton (2016 bronze medalist in Olympics heptathlon; three-time IAAF World Championships silver medalist).

Loren Seagrave – One of the most renowned sprints & hurdles coaches in the world, he has trained numerous Olympic and World champions. In 2000, he co-coached six Olympians from five different countries, including women’s 200 gold medalist Pauline Davis.

Carl Lewis – Currently coaching sprints and jumps at his alma mater, Houston, Lewis is one of the greatest Olympians of all time. He is one of three track & field athletes to have accumulated nine career gold medals, and he won 10 medals overall between the 100, 200, long jump and 4×100 relay.

The current list of presenters can be found on the USTFCCCA Convention website, with more additions forthcoming as December approaches.
