Nominations Open For Excellence In Communications Award
NEW ORLEANS – Nominations are now open for the Excellence in Communications Award for the 2017 collegiate track & field season.
This is the fourth year of the award.
For those uninitiated, the Excellence in Communications Award is presented following the conclusion of the cross country season and collegiate track & field season (combined indoor and outdoor) to one deserving athletic communication representative in each of the three NCAA divisions by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
AJ Harrison of Wisconsin (NCAA Division I), Gregory Ruff of Trevecca Nazarene (NCAA Division II) and Jim Naprstek of Loras College (NCAA Division III) were all honored during the cross country season.
Last year’s recipients for track & field included Matthew Staudt of Purdue (NCAA Division I), Jon Holtz of Slippery Rock (NCAA Division II) and Mark Therrien of WPI (NCAA Division III).
Nominations are open to all, including the general public. Media, coaches and Sports Information Directors individuals can participate in the process. We accept nominations in the form of digital or mailed examples, e.g., newspaper or magazine articles, media guides, newsletters, videotapes, website links, etc.
All nominations must be submitted by Wednesday, May 31.
