Preview The 2017 NCAA DI Women’s Outdoor Championships With TrackTown LIVE

EUGENE, Oregon – The 2017 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships might start tomorrow, but you should get to know the future stars of the women’s championship today.

That’s right, "TrackTown LIVE" airs today from 2-3:30 pm PT (5-6:30 pm ET) live from Hayward Field.

Don’t worry if you’re not in Eugene, Oregon, this week. You can catch all of the action from "TrackTown LIVE" in the video embedded below.

For those who don’t know, "TrackTown LIVE" is a joint venture between the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) and TrackTown USA that brings collegiate track & field fans closer to the action and helps them get to know the future stars of the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in a unique setting.

Here is a chronological list of those female athletes and their coaches who will be interviewed today by Jordan Kent and Paul Swangard.

  • Lexi Weeks and Tori Weeks, Arkansas
  • Charlotte Taylor and Helen Lehman-Winters, San Francisco
  • Karisa Nelson and Pat McGregor, Samford
  • Shadae Lawrence and Shardia Lawrence, Kansas State
  • Devynne Charlton and Lonnie Greene, Purdue
  • Devon Williams and Kendell Williams, Georgia
  • Shakima Wimbley and Amy Deem, Miami (Fla.)
  • Karissa Schweizer and Marc Burns, Missouri

If you’re counting at home, that’s five athletes who captured NCAA titles under a roof (Nelson, Schweizer, Wimbley and the Williams siblings) and another who swept the pole vault titles in 2016 (Lexi Weeks).
