NAIA ITF National Athletes of the Week (January 17-23)

NEW ORLEANS – The NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Athletes of the Week were announced Wednesday by the Association.

Recipients were Josh Parson of Tennessee Wesleyan and Grant Wickham of Hastings (Neb.) for the men and Adri Sigafoose of Aquinas (Mich.) and Danielle Wojciechowski of Bethel (Ind.) for the women.

NAIA Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

Josh Parson, Tennessee Wesleyan
Sr., Evensville, Tenn.

  • Placed 1st in the 60m dash with a time of 6.75 seconds
  • Placed 1st in the 200m dash with a time of 21.81
  • Improved his own number one time in the NAIA

NAIA Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

Grant Wickham, Hastings (Neb.)
Jr., Phillipsburg, Kan.

  • Placed 1st in the weight throw with a mark of 20.60m 
  • Set a PR as well as set the number two mark for the NAIA this season
  • Placed 4th in the shot put with a an “A” mark of 15.66m

NAIA Women’s Indoor Athlete of the Week

Adri Sigafoose, Aquinas (Mich.)
Sr., McBain, Mich.

  • Placed 1st in the 600m with a time of 1:34.26
  • This is the No. 1 time in all of NAIA this season
  • Placed 1st in the 4x800m Relay with a time of 9:34.01
  • This is the No. 1 time in all of NAIA this season

NAIA Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

Danielle Wojciechowski, Bethel (Ind.)
Jr., Roselle, Ill.

  • Placed 1st in Pole Vault with a mark of 4.07m
  • This mark is the No. 1 mark for the NAIA this season
