NAIA ITF National Athletes of the Week (February 14-20)

NEW ORLEANS – The NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Athletes of the Week were announced Wednesday by the Association.

Recipients were Brian Blaylock of St. Francis (Ill.) and Levi Sudbeck of Doane (Neb.) for the men and Jenna Moody of St. Francis (Ill.) and Chanel Roberts of Union (Ky.) for the women.

NAIA Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

Brian Blaylock, St. Francis (Ill.)
Sr., Lowell, Ind.

  • Placed 1st in the 3,000m with a time of 8:35.12
  • Named Male Track Athlete of the Meet at the CCAC Championships

NAIA Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

Levi Sudbeck, Doane (Neb.)
So., Hadar, Neb.

  • Placed 1st in the Heptathlon with 4947 points
  • Placed 1st in the Pole Vault with a mark of 4.80m
  • Led Doane to a GPAC Championship

NAIA Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week 

Jenna Moody, St. Francis (Ill.)
Sr., Joliet, Ill.

  • Placed 1st in the 60m, 200m, 400, and the 1,600m 
  • Led the Saints to a 3rd-place finish at the meet

NAIA Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week

Chanel Roberts, Union (Ky.)
Sr., Radcliff, Ky.

  • Placed 1st in the Shot Put with a mark of 14.86m
  • This is the best mark in NAIA this season
  • Set school records for shot put and weight throw
