USTFCCCA Welcomes McInnis, Schaefer To National Office
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) is pleased to announce the additions of Mary McInnis and Matthew Schaefer to the Association’s staff at the national office.
McInnis joins the USTFCCCA as Membership Services Assistant, while Schaefer comes to New Orleans as a Communications Assistant.
“We’re excited to welcome Mary and Matthew to the USTFCCCA national office,” USTFCCCA CEO Sam Seemes said. “Mary and Matthew are talented young professionals who will be able to step into our New Orleans office on day one and serve our membership and the overall sports of track & field and cross country in their own unique ways.”
McInnis, who is originally from the Crescent City, returns home after graduating from Missouri Valley College in May of 2017. She earned a degree in Business Administration and had a concentration in Sports Management.
While at Missouri Valley College, McInnis starred on the women’s lacrosse team. She was a two-time Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference First-Team selection as an attacker.
Schaefer joins the national office after spending the last year as a Graduate Assistant in Athletic Communications at Northern Arizona University. He was the main contact for the Lumberjacks’ cross country/track & field and golf programs, while also serving as a secondary contact for the men’s basketball team.
Prior to his time in Flagstaff, Schaefer worked in the athletics communications offices at Buffalo State College (NCAA Division III) and Kutztown University (NCAA Division II), and spent two seasons covering the Buffalo Bills – and other NFL teams – for Pro Player Insiders.
