Remember: The Bowerman Fan Vote might give a finalist a leg up on the others, but it is just a small portion of the overall tally, which also includes ballots from The Bowerman Advisory Board, each of the past winners from 2009 to 2018, one uniform vote from members of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), as well as select media personnel, statisticians and collegiate administrators.

With that said, let’s take a look at our FOURTH OFFICIAL UPDATE of The Bowerman Fan Vote and see how Mondo Duplantis of LSU, Grant Holloway of Florida and Divine Oduduru of Texas Tech are faring on the men’s side and Janeek Brown of Arkansas, Yanis David of Florida and Sha’Carri Richardson of LSU are doing on the women’s side.

Oduduru and Richardson might still lead their respective genders, but the Gators’ dynamic duo of Holloway and David made up some serious ground in the past few days. David is the biggest mover as she added 2.4 percent of the vote to her total, while Holloway locked in a 1.3-percent positive difference after it seems like the entire city of Chesapeake, Virginia, showed out for him yesterday.

We’re still keeping an eye on those percentages for Oduduru and Richardson, though. If Oduduru stays above 48 percent, he’d be just the third man in the history of The Bowerman Fan Vote to eclipse that barrier (Deon Lendore in 2014 and Cam Levins in 2012). If Richardson’s fans keep her percentage above 62 percent, she’d be only the second woman in the history of The Bowerman Fan Vote to top that mark (Brianne Theisen in 2012).

The Bowerman Fan Vote wraps up tonight at 10 pm ET.

We’ll announce the winner tomorrow afternoon on TheBowerman.org.
