CONVENTION UPDATE: Marquee Events Headline USTFCCCA Convention

NEW ORLEANS – Did you know that as part of registration for the annual USTFCCCA Convention, you are also invited to attend the USTFCCCA Coaches Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony as well as various events surrounding The Bowerman Presentation?

This year the USTFCCCA Convention will be held from December 16-19 at the Grande Lakes Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The USTFCCCA Coaches Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony will be held Tuesday, December 17 from 7:30-10 pm inside the Mediterranean Ballroom at the JW Marriott. You don’t want to miss it as six legendary coaches will be enshrined: Karen Boen, Dr. Jack Daniels, Bobby Lang, Joe Piane and Dan Stimson. All six of those coaches blazed incredible trails that will put them among the pantheon of all-time greats.

Just like it has the past two years, The Bowerman Presentation will officially close the USTFCCCA Convention on the evening of Thursday, December 19.

The Bowerman is collegiate track & field’s highest individual honor and is awarded to one male and one female winner each year. Michael Norman and Keturah Orj took home The Bowerman in 2018. Past winners of The Bowerman also include two-time Olympic gold medalist and former decathlonworld record holder Ashton Eaton, two-time Olympic medalists Derek Drouin and Galen Rupp as well as 2016 Olympic gold medalist Brianna Rollins.

The men’s finalists for The Bowerman this year are LSU’s Mondo Duplantis, Florida’s Grant Holloway and Texas Tech’s Divine Oduduru.

The women’s finalists for The Bowerman this year are Arkansas’ Janeek Brown, Florida’s Yanis David and LSU’s Sha’Carri Richardson.
