

2022 NCAA DII Women’s Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 5
NEW ORLEANS – It’s time for Conference Championships Weekend!
Here is the newest installment of the NCAA Division II Women’s Indoor Track & Field National TFRI for the 2022 season, as released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday. No marks from previous seasons have been used, which means this objective list is compiled solely of current marks from the 2022 indoor track & field season.

Minnesota State climbed back into the No. 1 spot after spending last week at No. 2. The Mavericks got the boost after picking up four new or improved top-10 national marks: Rose Cramer is sixth in the 200 (24.30c/24.67); Makayla Jackson is fourth in the long jump (6.15m/20-2¼); Kary Petricka is sixth in the long jump (6.01m/19-8¾); Brea Perron is fourth in the weight throw (19.99m/65-7).
Grand Valley State slid one spot to No. 2 in Week 5. The Lakers have tallied nine national top-10 marks this season, including the national lead in the weight throw by Judith Essemiah (20.71m/67-11½). Klaudia O’Malley has a hand in three of those nationally ranked performances, as she is third in the mile (4:44.97), third in the 3000 (9:23.65) and part of the second-ranked DMR (11:31.14).
Azusa Pacific, West Texas A&M and Pittsburg State held steady at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Each of those teams have at least seven top-10 national marks this season, with Azusa Pacific leading the group with 10. All of those teams also have a pair of national leaders: The Cougars are led by Mechaela Hyacynth in the 60 and Chinenye Agina in the high jump; The Lady Buffs are headlined by Taylor Nelloms in the triple jump and Zada Swoopes in the shot put; The Gorillas are paced by Christine Williams in the 200 and Trace Mosby in the pentathlon.
