Coaching Vacancy: Throws, Vertical Jumps, Decathlon
Position:
The University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for the position of Men’s and Women’s Track & Field Assistant Coach overseeing the throws, vertical jumps and decathlon. The position is a full time 12 month contract position with UC Benefits. The Deadline for application is Monday June 28, 2010. Review of applications will begin immediately. The tentative start date is August 1st 2010.
Job Description:
The Assistant Coach reports to the Director of Track & Field/XC and is responsible for coaching the throws, vertical jumps, and decathlon. Responsibilities include but are not limited to recruiting, practice planning, equipment ordering, fundraising, meet management, schedule coordination for student-athletes and any other duties assigned by the Director of Track & Field.
Requirements for Application:
A bachelor’s degree is required. Four years of collegiate experience as an athlete is required. Two years of coaching experience at Division I, II or III level is preferred. A proven record of coaching success in these specific event areas will be given priority.
Salary:
The starting salary for this position is $30,000 with UC Benefits that include Medical, Dental and Vision. This is a 12 month Contract position.
