Graduate Assistant Position
 
The University of New Hampshire is looking for a Master of Science Kinesiology: Sport Studies Graduate Assistant.  Sport Studies assistantships are geared for students interested in pursuing graduate study in Sport Studies as well as working in the University of New Hampshire Athletic Department in coaching or athletic administration of women’s programs.  Hours for the graduate assistant position are split between the UNH Athletic Department and the Kinesiology: Sport Studies option.  The Graduate Program in Sport Studies is primarily focused on preparation for careers in school and college athletics including athletic administration, coaching, and sport psychology.  Graduate assistantships cover tuition and include a stipend. The base stipend for the 2010 academic year for full assistantships is $14,300.
 
Admission to graduate study is granted after the evaluation and approval by the Graduate School and the Department of Kinesiology. This evaluation is based upon the student’s undergraduate preparation, academic record, Graduate Record Examination (GRE) aptitude test scores and letters of recommendation.  An applicant must be a graduate of an accredited college or university and must show adequate preparation in the basic support courses in the area of intended study.
