Track & Field Assistant Coach

Bemidji State University, northern Minnesota’s university has an immediate opening for an assistant track & field coach for the men’s and women’s programs. Bemidji State is an NCAA Division II school located in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the head coach in the daily operation of the women’s and men’s track programs.
- Recruit athletes
- Determine eligibility of student athletes
- Organizes and conducts practices and strength training program.
- Organizes promotions/assignments in conjunction with Beaver Pride Athletic Support Group.
This is a half-time fixed term position.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Participation in track and field at the collegiate level
- Knowledge of track and field and ability to recruit student-athletes
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Interpersonal skills to enhance interaction with athletes, peers, alumni, administration and the community
- USA Track and Field Level I and II certification
- Collegiate track coaching experience is preferred
- All applicants must be able to lawfully accept employment in the United States at the time of an offer of employment.
- In accordance with the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, faculty and staff driving on college/university business, who use a rental or state vehicle, shall be required to complete a Vehicle Use Agreement form and conform to MnSCU’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check.
