Christopher Newport University will be hosting four indoor and two outdoor invitational’s in their 2009-10 Collegiate Meet Series. The Vince Brown Track in the Freeman Center is a 200m flat Mondo Super-X track. The Pole Vault runway, both horizontal jumps runways, and High Jump apron are also Mondo. The outdoor track in Pomoco Stadium has been re-configured with 85m straights, two double-ended 200’+ horizontal jumps runways, a full D-zone for the High Jump, and multiple runway options for the Pole Vault. The track and jumps areas along with the Javelin runway are all Beynon BSS-1000 surfaces. The throws areas were rebuilt for 2009 with a brushed concrete Hammer/Discus circle and three brushed concrete Shot Put rings (two of which can be used concurrently in competition).
