

How They Fared: The Bowerman Family at the 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships
It’s safe to say that The Bowerman – collegiate track & field’s highest honor – will be well-represented at the 2025 USATF Outdoor Championships over the next few days.
Twenty-four members of The Bowerman Family, which includes ten past winners and 14 current and/or past finalists, are scheduled to compete at Hayward Field with hopes of representing Team USA at the upcoming World Championships in Tokyo.

Whoever makes Team USA can add to the war chest of medals winners of The Bowerman have collected at the Summer Olympic Games over the years. Would you believe that 23 winners of The Bowerman have won 24 world championships and racked up 60 total World Championship medals.

On Cloud Nine In Eugene
Members of The Bowerman family racked up nine national titles.
It was a near-even split, with five going to the men and four to the women.
- Ja’Kobe Tharp (2025 men’s finalist) – 110-meter hurdles
- Kyle Garland (2023 men’s finalist) – Decathlon
- Cole Hocker (2021 men’s finalist) – 5000 meters
- Rai Benjamin (2018 men’s finalist) – 400-meter hurdles
- Donavan Brazier (2016 men’s finalist) – 800 meters
- Anna Hall (2022 women’s finalist) – Heptathlon
- Jasmine Moore (2023 women’s finalist) – Triple Jump
- Tara Davis-Woodhall (2021 women’s finalist) – Long Jump
- Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone (2018 women’s finalist) – 400 meters
Who Else Is Tokyo-Bound?
Those aforementioned U.S. champions aren’t the only members of The Bowerman Family headed to Tokyo for the World Championships.
