Larra Overton Named Host of Bowerman Presentation In 2025
NEW ORLEANS — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) is proud to announce that Larra Overton will serve as the host of The Bowerman Presentation on Thursday, December 18, at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas. The ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on RunnerSpace.com.
“The Bowerman shines such a significant spotlight on track & field and the remarkable student-athletes throughout the sport, and to be invited to share in this ceremony is an honor,” Overton said.
Overton brings a wealth of experience in both broadcasting and track & field to the sport’s most prestigious awards celebration. She has served as producer, host and reporter for the Indianapolis Colts since 2019 and has been an analyst on ESPN’s broadcasts of the NCAA DI Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships. A former captain of the University of Indiana’s cross country and track & field teams, she competed in multiple NCAA championships during her collegiate career.
“As a broadcaster, it’s a privilege to share the stories of the athletes, coaches and teams that contributed to a historic collegiate track & field season,” Overton said. “I am thrilled to be part of celebrating and recognizing the accomplishments of this year’s finalists for The Bowerman.”
This year’s presentation will honor six exceptional finalists: Jordan Anthony, Nathaniel Ezekiel, and Ja’Kobe Tharp on the men’s side, along with Pamela Kosgei, Doris Lemngole, and Savannah Sutherland on the women’s side. Overton will guide the evening as the collegiate track & field community gathers in Grapevine to celebrate the sport’s highest individual honor.
The Bowerman, presented annually by the USTFCCCA, recognizes the top male and female collegiate track & field athletes in the nation.
