Up, Up & Away

Mondo Duplantis continued his record-breaking ways.

Duplantis, who was a finalist for The Bowerman in 2019 after a sensational year at LSU, raised his own world record in the pole vault to 6.30m in winning the world title. The Swede went six-for-six on his first six heights and then cleared the record-setting bar on his third attempt.

Sydney, We Have No Words

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone can’t be stopped.

McLaughlin-Levrone, who was a finalist for The Bowerman in 2018 after a dynamic freshman year at Kentucky, won the 400-meter world title and clocked the second fastest time in history of 47.78. No woman had gone sub-48 over 400 meters since Marita Koch set the world record of 47.60.

It’s (The Bowerman) Family Affair

Three athletes stood taller than others after the decathlon.

At the top of the podium was Leo Neugebauer.

Taking silver was Ayden Owens-Delerme.

Bronze belonged to Kyle Garland.

Those names should sound familiar.

All three men are part of The Bowerman Family: Neugebauer won The Bowerman in 2024 and was a finalist in 2023; Owens-Delerme was a finalist in 2022; and Garland was a finalist alongside Neugebauer in 2023.
