Each of these athletes could add to the growing legacy of The Bowerman on the world stage, just like Jessica Beard, Christian Coleman, Grant Holloway and Courtney Okolo did the last time the World Athletics Championships were held in 2019. Coleman and Holloway won individual world championships in the 100 meters and 110-meter hurdles, respectively, and earned automatic bids to this installment, while Beard and Okolo snagged gold medals as part of 4×400 relay teams (Coleman also assisted on the winning 4×100 relay as the lead-off leg).
All told, winners of The Bowerman have compiled 13 World Championships and 41 total overall World Championships medals since 2009, including seven silver and two bronze at the outdoor version.
