Kyle Terwillegar Joins USTFCCCA Communications Staff
NEW ORLEANS – The USTFCCCA office has expanded, hiring Kyle Terwillegar as a communications assistant as of January 7, 2013.
Terwillegar will be assisting Director of Communications Tom Lewis in the public relations efforts of the USTFCCCA, including work with the national rankings, The Bowerman and the association’s social media presence, in addition to general news releases.
He joins the staff from Central Michigan University, where he served as a communications assistant for its athletic communications department in 2012. Among his roles in the office was the primary contact for the Chippewas’ track and field and cross country programs, in addition to other sports. He served the office as an undergraduate intern during the 2011-12 academic year, and helped coordinate the media relations efforts surrounding the 2012 Mid-American Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Mount Pleasant, Mich.
Terwillegar is a 2012 graduate of Central Michigan, having earned a Bachelor of Science degree in news-editorial journalism with Summa Cum Laude honors. He brings a passion for the sports of track & field and cross country, having been an active runner, a fan and advocate of the sports for a decade.
