2014 USTFCCCA Convention Update: A Great Experience for a Great Value

NEW ORLEANS – Not only is the 2014 USTFCCCA Convention a great experience for track & field and cross country coaches, the four-day convention from December 15-18 at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona, is a great experience for a great value.

Consider the great value attendees will get as part of the $250 registration for USTFCCCA members prior to the December 3 early registration deadline, which is now just two months away:

  • Great Development Opportunities- Attendees will have access to 42 Symposium technical and professional development presentations by some of the country’s top coaches and experts, and will have access to Divisional business meetings that will help improve and set the direction for the sport at all levels. New to the Convention this year are business meetings for NAIA coaches. Topics covered in the symposium presentations include endurance events, jumping events, throwing events and sprints/hurdles/relay events. Sessions specifically targeted toward directors of operations will also be on the schedule.

  • Great Networking Opportunities – The Convention is annually attended by coaches of all experience levels and from all NCAA Divisions, the NAIA and the high school level, making it the year’s premier professional convention or conference for track & field and cross country coaching.

  • Great EventsConvention-goers are invited to celebrate the sports’ top coaches at the USTFCCCA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony & Dinner and its best collegiate student-athletes at the presentation of The Bowerman Trophy – collegiate track & field’s highest individual honor. Female coaches are also invited to take part in the "Women in Coaching" program on Sunday, December 14, as part of their registration package.

  • Great FoodAttendees will be well-fed throughout the week as dinner is provided to all those who attend the Hall of Fame and The Bowerman ceremonies, in addition to an evening of food and entertainment at the MONDO Dinner, potentially held outdoors should the weather be conducive. Breakfast will be served three different mornings, and convention-goers will be provided lunch on two of the days.
