Eight to Enter NJCAA Track & Field Coaches Association Hall of Fame
The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Track & Field Coaches Association has inducted eight new members into the NJCAA Track & Field Hall of Fame at the USTFCCCA Convention held in Phoenix, AZ. December 16th, 2014.
“This Year the NJCAA did something new, we inducted both the Division I (DI) and Division III (DIII) Track and Field Hall of Fame Program at the same time," NJCAA Track and Field Coaches Association President Michael Smart said. “In total we inducted eight NJCAA Representatives this year (7 Athletes and 1 Coach).”
“As in past years some of our Hall Of Fame Inductees include Collegiate and Olympic Champions”
Division I Inductees

Nicole N. Belcher (Athlete) held the National record in the 100mH for a period of 19 years. At Essex County College she set the school record at 7.69 for the 55mH and 13.13 for the 100mH. Nicole was named Athlete of the Year in 1994-1995 and 1995-1996 indoor and outdoor seasons.
She continued to Seton Hall University where she also set meet records and school records in the 100mH. She Graduated from Seton Hall in May 1997 with a BA in Social and Behavioral Sciences and is currently working as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Counselor with South Jersey Behavior health Resources located in Camden County, NJ

Phillimon Hanneck (Athlete) was a 10 time NJCAA Champion and 15 time NJCAA All-American at South Plains College. He was named Outstanding Performer of the 1991 NJCAA Indoor Meet where he ran 9 races (including qualifying rounds) in only two days and won the 800M, 1000M, mile run and anchored the winning Distance Medley Relay.
Hanneck competed in the 1500M at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics where he advanced to the semifinal after posting a time of 3:37.65 in the opening round. He also competed in the 5000M at the 1993 and 1995 World Championships qualifying for and finishing 10th in the 1995 final held in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Lyles Lashley (Coach) started his NJCAA coaching career in 1998 as the Assistant Coach at Barton County Community College becoming Head Coach in 2003. He then served as Secretary to the NJCAA Track Coaches Association from 2002-2006. Lashley holds 31 combined Team Titles. He also holds an astonishing 20 Coaching Honors.
Athletes under his direction earned Honors such as 476 Indoor and Outdoor Track All-American Performances, 181 NJCAA Individual National Champions, 22 Barton County Community College Record Holders, and 3 Top 10 in the World Rankings.

Kerron Stewart (Athlete) is a 2009 Sports Woman of the Year Nominee running alongside Serena Williams and Danica Patrick. At Essex County College Kerron was a 2 Time NJCAA National Champion in 2004 and a 6 Time All-American.
While continuing her education at Auburn University Stewart was a 4 Time All-Southeast Conference Champion, 4 Time All-Southeast Champion and a 3 Time NCAA Champion.
Stewart is a 4 time World Championship Participant holding 2 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals in the 4×100 Meter Relay. In the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Kerron brought home the Bronze Medal in the 200M and the Silver Medal in the 100M races. She also participated in the 2012 London Olympic Games where she holds the Silver Medal for 4×100 Meter Relay.

Novlene Williams-Mills (Athlete) is a 3 Time Olympic Games Participant who attended Essex County College where she was a 2 time NJCAA National Champion and a 3 time All- American, she continued to University of Florida where she was an All-Southeast Conference Champion and 5 time All-American athlete.
Novlene holds 3 Olympic Medals: Bronze Medal at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games in the 4×400 Meter Relay, Bronze Medal at the 2008 Olympics Games in the 4×400 Meter Relay, and a Bronze Medal at the 2012 London Games in the 4×400 Meter Relay. She also holds a Bronze Medal for the 400M at the 2014 World Track and Field Championships. Novlene is the 2014 Diamond League Champion in the 400M
Division III Inductees

Lisa Daley (Athlete) attended Bronx Community College where she was the 1991 400M record holder.
She continued her education at Manhattan College where she was the 1993 NCAA Student Athlete. Lisa is an 8 time World Masters Champion (3x200M, 4x400M, 400mH).
Lisa is the USATF National Masters record holder for the 400mH.

Philippe DeRosier (Athlete) was a Student Athlete at Howard Community College. He is a 4 Time NJCAA Individual Champion in the 100M, 200M and Long Jump.
DeRosier was named the MVP of the National Meet in 2005. He holds a record in the 200M that still stands today. Philippe completed his education at St. Augustine University where he was a 2 Time NCAA Champion in the 200M race.

Julie Jestus (Athlete) is a 2 Time National Champion in the High Jump (2000, 2001) and the 2001 National Heptathlon Champion.
After Leaving Harper College Jestus received a Full Athletic Scholarship to Regis University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2003.
