Active-Stretch Joins USTFCCCA Supporters Program

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) is pleased to announce its partnership with new USTFCCCA Supporter Active-Stretch.

Active-Stretch produces a high-quality, multi-faceted dynamic stretching tool to aid and enhance athletes’ warm-up and cool-down regimens. The product uses continuous motion during stretching to increase bloodflow to the targeted muscle groups and increase range of motion.

“In order to perform great on the track or in the field, athletes first have to put great attention into taking care of their bodies,” USTFCCCA CEO Sam Seemes said. “We encourage all of our member coaches to explore how the Active-Stretch band can improve their athletes’ warm-up and cool-down routines, and in turn improve their performance on meet day.”

The patent-pending design – featuring an elastic loop end with a foam handgrip, a middle portion with ergonomic plastic handgrips, and another loop made of static webbing – makes it easy to dynamically stretch any part of the body, including such hard-to-reach areas as the IT band.

"A tremendous amount of work and time went into the patent pending design.  We wanted a high quality product made in the USA that meets the needs of sprinters, jumpers, distance runners and throwers,” Active-Stretch owner Scott Powers said.

“Active-Stretch listened to the coaches’ needs and has the perfect blend of elasticity (25%) to allow dynamic stretching without over stretching.  By providing custom school team colors on the ergonomic handgrips, not only are the handgrips functional on specific stretches, they also promote team spirit and are a flexibility motivator.”

In addition to the physical product, the Active-Stretch website also features more than two dozen instructional video clips demonstrating how to maximize the effectiveness of various exercises for the upper and lower body.

Powers said hundreds of universities and high schools around the country have already implemented Active-Stretch in their routines since the product’s launch in August of 2015.

Coaches looking to make Active-Stretch a part of their teams’ regimens are encouraged to visit the official website, Active-Stretch.com, for more information on the product and its pricing.
