NEW ORLEANS — The usual suspects are starting at make their move in the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Team Computer Rankings.

In the most recent rankings that were released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), teams from Concordia (Neb.), Doane (Neb.) and Wayland Baptist (Texas) found their way near the top as the season enters the final month of competition.
QUICK LINKS: Men’s Rankings | Women’s Rankings
As it has gone the rest of the 2016 campaign, both Indiana Tech teams lead the charge.
The men continue to push ahead of second-ranked Concordia (Neb.) in a big way. The Warriors tallied 598.35 points this week, compared to 305.01 for the Bulldogs.
Right behind Concordia (Neb.) is Wayland Baptist (Texas) with 301.35 points. Following the Jackrabbits in the rankings is another program from Texas, Wiley (299.95 points).
Rounding out the top-5 in the men’s rankings is Doane (Neb.). The Tigers jumped six spots from last week and are trending in the right direction at this point of the season.
While Indiana Tech also leads the women’s rankings, the Warriors’ lead isn’t as big as the men’s — not by a long shot. Indiana Tech is up 48.78 points on runner-up Doane.
Only 2.11 points separate the Tigers from third-ranked Concordia (387.54-385.43). The difference becomes much larger between the Bulldogs and fourth-ranked Siena Heights (Mich.) and then between fourth and the fifth-place team, which is Southern-New Orleans (La.).
The 2016 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held May 26-28 in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
