NAIA XC National Athletes of the Week (Oct. 28)

The NAIA National Office announced its sixth National Athletes of the Week selections for the 2020 cross country season on Wednesday morning.
Luke Skinner of Saint Mary (Kan.) took home the men’s honor after winning the individual title at the NAIA Mid-States Classic this past weekend. Skinner crossed the finish line in 24:48 — nearly 18 seconds faster than his next closest competitor — and led the Spires to a team title.
Emma Wilson of Huntington (Ind.) earned the women’s award after winning the individual title at the Midwest XC Challenge this past weekend. Wilson broke the TUXC Farm 5K course record when she covered the grass tract in 17:11, 25 seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
