CONVENTION UPDATE: Marquee Events Headline 2022 USTFCCCA Convention

NEW ORLEANS – Did you know that as part of registration for the annual USTFCCCA Convention, you’re also invited to attend the USTFCCCA Coaches Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony Presented By REKORTAN as well as various events surrounding The Bowerman Presentation?

This year the USTFCCCA Convention will be held from December 12-15 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center outside of Denver.

The USTFCCCA Coaches Hall of Fame Dinner and Induction Ceremony Presented By REKORTAN will be held Tuesday, December 13 from 7:30-10 pm inside the Adams Ballroom. You don’t want to miss it as six legendary coaches will be enshrined: Josh Culbreath, Greg Kraft, Halston Taylor, Art Venegas, Mark Wetmore and Sue Williams. All six of those coaches blazed incredible trails that will put them among the pantheon of all-time greats.

Just like it has since 2016, The Bowerman Presentation will officially close the USTFCCCA Convention on the evening of Thursday, December 15.

The Bowerman is collegiate track & field’s highest individual honor and is awarded to one male and one female winner each year. JuVaughn Harrison and Athing Mu took home The Bowerman in 2021. Harrison competed at LSU, while Mu starred at Texas A&M.

Men’s finalists for The Bowerman in 2022 are Florida State’s Trey Cunningham, Arkansas’ Ayden Owens-Delerme and Randolph Ross Jr. of North Carolina A&T.

Women’s finalists for The Bowerman in 2022 are Anna Hall of Florida, Camryn Rogers of California and Abby Steiner of Kentucky.

Did you know that The Bowerman has quite the legacy? Past winners have combined to win 16 Olympic medals – including eight gold medals – 16 World Championships, 9 Indoor World Championships and 47 total World Championship medals. Just this past June, past winners of The Bowerman captured six medals at the World Championships, five of which were gold.
