2022 NAIA Cross Country All-America
NEW ORLEANS – All-America honors for the 2022 NAIA Cross Country season were announced on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Athletes from member institutions earned All-America recognition by finishing among the top-40 athletes in their gender’s respective races this past weekend at the 2022 NAIA Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida.
Dordt (Iowa) men and Taylor (Ind.) women earned first-ever team titles for their programs and not surprisingly led each gender’s list of most honorees.
The Defenders tied defending champion Milligan (Tenn.) with four men’s All-America honors. Dordt was led by Joe Anderson (13th), Davis Tebben (17th), Peter Shippy (18th) and Eric Steiger (23rd), who all finished in the top-25.
The runner-up Buffs were led by top-10 finishers Aaron Jones (4th) and Will Stockley (9th) and were joined in All-America distinction by Bryn Woodall (19th) and Jake Crow (38th).
In the women’s race, Taylor’s domination – the Trojans scored 50 points to win by 127 points – carried over here as all seven of its runners achieved All-America status. The Trojans had three top-10 finishers in Abbey Brennan (fourth), Noel VanderWall (seventh) and Ahna VanderWall (10th), while teammates Audrey Brinkruff (13th), Giovanna Domene (20th), Brooke Studnicki (33rd) and Mollie Gamble (34th) completed Taylor’s list of All-Americans.
Combining men’s and women’s programs, both Taylor and Milligan captured a total of seven All-America honors each.
