DuPage captured nine events, including the men’s meet record with their 4×100 winning time of 41.21. That relay unit included Noah Mack, who repeated his 100/200 double victory from last year with times of 10.59 and 21.60. National leader Weston White was runner-up both times as the Chaps went 1-2-3 in the 100 and 1-2 in the 200. Also winning twice for the Chaps was Kevin Diederich with wins in the 5000 (15:36.97) and 10,000 (32:27.41).
DuPage also won the 400 hurdles (Graham McAninch 54.22), high jump (Ronan Cornelius 1.94m/6-4¼), pole vault (Gabriel Parker 4.23m/13-10½) and the 4×400 relay (3:18.17).
Topping the podium the most was throwing star Trenton Braswell of Mineral Area (Mo.), who claimed a quadruple in scoring 40 points. On Thursday he won the hammer (50.07m/164-3) and javelin (a PR 56.15m/184-2) before winning Friday’s shot put (14.74m/48-4½) and Saturday’s discus (46.31m/151-11). He was joined by another multiple winner for the Cardinals as Bradley Ahrens won the 800 (1:52.57) and 1500 (4:01.67), the latter being a repeat victory.
Another double winner was Brooks Robson of Hudson Valley (N.Y.) CC, tops in the long jump (7.01m/23-0) and triple jump (14.23m/46-8¼).
Women’s Recap
Harper had the most wins with seven, including two of the women’s three meet records courtesy of Lilly Alberts, who won the 400 (55.85, bettering the meet record by 1.37 seconds) and 800 (2:13.78, breaking her own meet record by 2.86 seconds). The Hawks also got victories from Isabella Wojciechowski in the 5000 (19:01.92), Lily Wintergerst in the triple jump (10.71m/35-1¾) and the 4×400 (4:03.24) and 4×800 (10:25.88) relay teams.
Runner-up DuPage had the next-most titles with six as Patrycja Karpiesiuk chipped in three wins, including a meet-record 3.55m (11-7¾) in the pole vault; she also won the 100 (12.18) and high jump (1.55m/5-1). The Chaps’ Ellie Logsdon claimed the 200 (25.73) and 400 hurdles (1:07.29), while the 4×100 relay team won in 49.21.
