CONVENTION UPDATE: Women In Coaching Event Leads Off #USTFCCCA24

NEW ORLEANS – The Women in Coaching Event at the annual USTFCCCA Convention enters its 11th year in 2024 and continues to grow each year.

For those uninitiated, the Women in Coaching Event has been held on the first official day of the USTFCCCA Convention every year since 2014. This year that date is Monday, December 16, and it will be held from 3:00 pm to 5:45 pm inside the Ritz-Carlton Ballroom.

Each and every female coach who is registered for the USTFCCCA Convention is invited to take part in the event, which has grown leaps and bounds. More than 300 female coaches attended the seminar last year in Denver, Colorado. Organizers expect that number to skyrocket this year.

There will be three parts to the Women in Coaching Event in 2024.

First, Celeste Blackman will deliver the keynote. Blackman is the co-founder of Green Zone Culture Group, which cultivates Green Zone Thinking™.

The keynote topic is “Coaching Connections: Co-Creating Our Futures Together.” It will be an interactive session where coaches will actively build their community and strengthen their bonds as women, coaches and friends. Together, they’ll amplify their voices, forge lasting connections, and co-create a future of success and empowerment for women in coaching.

“We are thrilled to have Celeste join us for this year’s Women In Coaching event,” Murray State assistant coach Kelsey Riggins said. “We aim to help women in our profession build community and confidence in their ability, Celeste’s presentation will be interactive and provide actionable tools for attendees to use in they everyday lives.”

Next up is a panel discussion entitled “Paris 2024,” which will feature at least four coaches who coached athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, coached at the Olympic Games, or worked with athletes who competed for another country at the Olympic Games: Ashley Kovacs of Team USA, Marissa Chew of TCU, Becca Rhodes of Utah and Jatavia Wright of South Florida.

Finally is a speed networking opportunity that will provide women with an opportunity to connect and gain insight into other coaching journeys.

Registration for the 2024 USTFCCCA Convention is ongoing.
