

2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Regional Awards
NEW ORLEANS – Regional Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field season were announced on Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Each of the ten regions – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, West – honored both genders’ top track athletes and field athletes as well as the top men’s and women’s head coaches and assistant coaches.
Award winners were determined by a vote of USTFCCCA member coaches. Only those individuals from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
Men’s Track Athlete of the Year
EAST REGION – Ziyad Hassan – MIT
Hassan, who hails from Ashburn, Virginia, clocked a pair of all-time NCAA DIII marks in mid-distance events: in the 800, his 1:48.63 PR ranks fourth; in the mile, his 4:01.13 PR ranks seventh. He eventually finished third in the 800 at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships.
GREAT LAKES REGION – Basheer Alramahi – John Carroll
Alramahi, who hails from Westlake, Ohio, finished runner-up in the 400 meters at the 2025 NCAA DIII Championships. Earlier in the season, Alramahi shattered the division’s all-time record in the 500 meters with his 1:02.64 effort on a flat track at the OAC Indoor Championships (Alramahi won that event title by more than three seconds).
METRO REGION – Jason Agyemang – Rowan
Agyemang, who hails from North Plainfield, New Jersey, won the 60-meter hurdles at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He clocked 7.76 in Rochester, New York, narrowly missing the meet record by 0.01 seconds. In doing so, though, Agyemang became the third fastest performer in NCAA DIII history.
MID-ATLANTIC REGION – Emmauel Leblond – Johns Hopkins
Leblond, who hails from Mountain View, California, became just the third male athlete in NCAA DIII history to go sub-14 in the 5000 maters and sub-8 in the 3000 meters. His 13:54.45 PR in the longer event came at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in December, while his 7:57.85 PR in the shorter event came at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in February. He later finished runner-up in the 5000 meters at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships.
MIDEAST REGION – Nicholas Lyndaker – St. Lawrence
Lyndaker, who hails from Canton, New York, won the mile at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He crossed the finish line in 4:06.45, which was the fastest flat-track mark in meet history. Earlier in the season, Lyndaker captured Liberty League titles in the mile and the 3000 meters, and ranked top-three in the Mideast Region in three different events.
MIDWEST REGION – Jereme Ombogo – North Park
Ombogo, who hails from Houston, Texas, capped his season with a pair of PRs and First-Team All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He went 6.69 in the prelims of the 60 meters for the fifth fastest mark in NCAA DIII history and 21.34 in the prelims of the 200 meters for the 12th fastest time ever. He would later finish fourth and eighth in those respective events. Earlier in the season, Ombogo scored 20 points at the CCIW Indoor Championships with victories in both the 55 meters and 200 meters.
NIAGARA REGION – Jonathan Zavala – SUNY Brockport
Zavala, who hails from Montgomery, New York, took runner-up in the mile at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He traversed the distance in 4:06.48 at the NCAA Championships for one of the fastest flat-track marks in meet history. Earlier in the season, Zavala was named the Empire 8 Track Athlete of the Championships after winning the mile, 800 meters, and helping SUNY Brockport’s 4×400 relay squad finish runner-up.
NORTH REGION – Sam Blaskowski – UW-La Crosse
Blaskowski, who hails from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, capped a record-breaking season by sweeping the short sprints at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He obliterated his own NCAA DIII record in the 60 meters when he went 6.60 in the prelims at the WIAC Indoor Championships. Blaskowski later went 6.62 in the final, which would have also bettered the previous all-time best of 6.64. The UW-La Crosse standout ended the season with four of the fastest marks in NCAA DIII history in the 60 meters: 6.60 and a trio of 6.62s.
SOUTH REGION – Chasen Hunt – Lynchburg
Hunt, who hails from Forest, Virginia, earned a pair of First-Team All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He finished third in the 3000 meters and second as part of Lynchburg’s distance medley relay. Earlier in the season, Hunt went 7:56. 92 over 3000 meters at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational for what is the third fastest mark in NCAA DIII history in that event.
WEST REGION – Alexander Rhodes – Puget Sound
Rhodes, who hails from Portland, Oregon, put an exclamation point on his season by winning the 400 meters at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He also finished third in the 200 meters in Rochester, New York. Rhodes clocked three of the top-four fastest record-legal marks in NCAA DIII history over 400 meters this season: 46.44 for No. 2, 46.55 for No. 3 and 46.71 for No. 4. He also added two sub-47.75 efforts on oversized tracks.
Men’s Field Athlete of the Year
EAST REGION – Jackson Bliey – MIT
Biley, who hails from Talleyville, Delaware, won the high jump at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. Earlier in the season, Biley cleared 2.18m (7-1¾) at the New England Division III Indoor Championships for what is the seventh best mark in NCAA DIII history.
GREAT LAKES REGION – JJ Durr – Wilmington (Ohio)
Durr, who hails from West Lafayette, Ohio, capped an undefeated season by winning the weight throw at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He topped the podium with a PR mark of 20.14m (66-1). Durr surpassed 20 meters on two different occasions this season – the first coming in victory at the OAC Indoor Championships in Ada, Ohio.
METRO REGION – Hiven Biffot – Montclair State
Biffort, who hails from France, finished third in the triple jump at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He bounded a PR 15.10m (49-6½) to earn First-Team All-America honors. Earlier in the season, Biffot took top individual honors in that event at the AARTF Indoor Championships and earned third at the NJAC Indoor Championships.
MID-ATLANTIC REGION – Luke Freimanis – Carnegie Mellon
Freimanis, who hails from Frederick, Maryland, finished runner-up in the heptathlon at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He amassed PR 5161 points in Rochester, New York.
MIDEAST REGION – James Zeolla – RPI
Zeolla, who hails from Califon, New Jersey, tied for fourth place in the pole vault at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He cleared 5.05m (16-6¾) in Rochester, New York.
MIDWEST REGION – Ulysses Patterson – Simpson (Iowa)
Patterson, who hails from Clinton, Iowa, exceeded 4990 points in the heptathlon on two different occasions: 5021 points in a winning effort at the 2025 A-R-C Indoor Championships; 4998 points in earning First-Team All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships.
NIAGARA REGION – Amarian Hughes – SUNY Cortland
Hughes, who hails from Newburg, New York, won the triple jump at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. He bounded PR 15.35m (50-4½) on his final attempt in Rochester, New York.
NORTH REGION – Joshua Rivers – UW-Oshkosh
Rivers, who hails from Bolingbrook, Illinois, capped a record-breaking season in the long jump with a victory at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. It was in Rochester, New York, where Rivers soared 7.81m (25-7½) to obliterate a 26-year-old meet record. That was one of three marks of 7.81m or better this season, which included a massive 8.13m (26-8¼) effort to shatter the NCAA DIII record in the event back in early December.
SOUTH REGION – Christian Di Nicolantonio – Catholic (D.C.)
Di Nicolantonio, who hails from Alexandria, Virginia, vaulted a PR 5.25m (17-2¾) at the Doc Hale Virginia Tech Elite that put him atop the national leaderboard for the last five weeks of the season. He cleared 5.10m (16-8¾) in three meets and won event titles at four different meets.
WEST REGION – Dontre Sinegal – McMurry
Sinegal, who hails from Benbrook, Texas, finished top-three in both horizontal jumping events at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships: second in the triple jump with PR 15.33m (50-3½); third in the long jump with PR 7.50m (24-7¼).
Men’s Coach of the Year
EAST REGION – Julie Heyde – MIT
Heyde, in her second year as Director of Track and Field and Cross Country at MIT, led the Engineers to a seventh-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. MIT had 10 athletes earn All-America honors, led by national high jump champion Jackson Bliey and mile third-placer Ziyad Hassan.
GREAT LAKES REGION – Lisa Owens – Centre
Owens, in her 28th year as Director of Cross Country and Track & Field at Centre, led the Colonels to the team title at the 2025 SAA Indoor Championships, winning five events while setting four meet records. Centre, which set 10 program records this season, qualified three athletes to the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, with two earning First-Team All-America honors.
METRO REGION – Dustin Dimit – Rowan
Dimit, in his 11th year as Head Coach at Rowan, led the Profs to a third-place finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, earning four First-Team All-America honors led by national 60-meter hurdle champion Jason Agyemang. Rowan won the team title at the NJAC Indoor Championships, winning 11 events, as well as the AARTFC Indoor Championships.
MID-ATLANTIC REGION – Bobby Van Allen – Johns Hopkins
Van Allen, in his 26th year as Head Coach at Johns Hopkins, led the Blue Jays to a program-best eighth-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, earning five All-America honors topped by the national champion distance medley relay team. Johns Hopkins also won the team title at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships, winning three events.
MIDEAST REGION – Colin Tory – RPI
Tory, in his 25th year as Head Coach at RPI, led the Engineers to the team title at the 2025 Liberty League Indoor Championships, scoring in every event while winning eight. RPI had 11 qualifiers to the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, with pole vaulters James Zeolla and Moss Dengler and the distance medley relay team earning All-America honors.
MIDWEST REGION – Marcus Newsom – Wartburg
Newsom, in his 27th year as Director of Cross Country and Track and Field at Wartburg, led the Knights to the team title at the 2025 American Rivers Conference Indoor Championships, winning four events. Wartburg earned eight All-America and 15 All-Region honors.
NIAGARA REGION – Steve Patrick – SUNY Cortland
Patrick, in his 18th year as Head Coach at SUNY Cortland, led the Red Dragons to a fifth-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, with events title in the triple jump (Amarian Hughes) and 4×400 relay while earning eight First-Team All-America honors. SUNY Cortland, which set program records in seven events this season, also won the team title at the 2025 SUNYAC Indoor Championships, winning six events.
NORTH REGION – Josh Buchholtz – UW-La Crosse
Buchholtz, in his 17th year as Head Coach at UW-La Crosse, led the Eagles to the team title at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, scoring 84 points while winning four events – the 60 and 200 meters by Sam Blaskowski, 800 by Cael Schoemann and 5000 by Grant Matthai. UW-La Crosse also won the team title at the WIAC Indoor Championships, winning six events.
SOUTH REGION – Jim Sprecher – Lynchburg
Sprecher, in his 10th year as Director of Track & Field at Lynchburg, led the Hornets to a fourth-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, earning All-America honors in five events. Lynchburg also won the team title at the ODAC Indoor Championships, winning nine events.
WEST REGION – Cody Knight – McMurry
Knight, in his eighth year as Head Coach at McMurry, led the War Hawks to an eighth-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, earning All-America honors in four events. McMurry was the No. 1-ranked team in the West Region and had 14 athletes earn All-Region honors.
Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year
EAST REGION – Derek Rousseau – MIT
Rousseau, in his eighth year as assistant coach at MIT, coached two Engineer jumpers to qualify for the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, including national champion Jackson Bliey. Earlier this season Bliey won the New England DIII title with a jump of 2.18m (7-1¾) in becoming No. =7 on the all-time DIII indoor list.
GREAT LAKES REGION – Ernest Mosheleketi – Centre
Mosheleketi, in his fourth year as assistant coach at Centre, coached two Colonel athletes to qualify in a total of four events at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships as both earned First-Team All-America honors – Cree Ross in the triple jump and Nick Whitlow in the heptathlon. His athletes contributed 69 of the 265 points Centre had in winning the team title at the SAA Indoor Championships.
METRO REGION – Norman Tate – Rowan
Tate, in his 17th year as assistant coach at Rowan, coached 10 Profs to earn All-America honors at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships – four as part of a 1-2-4-5 finish in the 60-meter hurdles led by Jason Agyemang. That group of hurdlers have all-time DIII indoor rankings of No. 1, No. 3, No. =7 and No. =11, with Jamir Brown holding the national record at 7.72.
MID-ATLANTIC REGION – Cullen Doody – Johns Hopkins
Doody, in his first year as assistant coach at Johns Hopkins, coached the Blue Jays’ distance medley relay team to win the event at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. His athletes include Emmanuel Leblond, national runner-up in the 3000 meters, and Johns Hopkins’ distance runners scored 86 points in helping the Blue Jays win the team title at the Centennial Conference Indoor Championships.
MIDEAST REGION – John Lynch – RPI
Lynch, in his 14th year as assistant coach at RPI, coached Engineer distance runners to score 91 points at the 2025 Liberty League Indoor Championships in helping RPI win the team title. At the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, the Engineers’ distance medley relay team finished seventh.
MIDWEST REGION – Lane Lohr – Washington (Mo.)
Lohr, in his 18th year as assistant coach at Washington (Mo.), coached four Bear pole vaulters to qualify for the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, with three earning All-America honors. At the UAA Indoor Championships, with a limit of three entries per event, his vaulters went 1-2-4 for 23 points.
NIAGARA REGION – John Davis – SUNY Brockport
Davis, in his sixth year as Associate Head Coach at SUNY Brockport, coached the Golden Eagles’ Jonathan Zavala to a runner-up finish in the mile at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. His 800-meter and mile groups are rated No. 9 and No. 10, respectively, in the national #EventSquad Rankings, with both No. 2 regionally.
NORTH REGION – Taylor Pasterski – St. Norbert
Pasterski, in his eighth year as assistant coach at St. Norbert, coached Green Knight athletes to score all 16 of the team’s points at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, led by a national title in the pole vault by Aiden Anderson. His athletes in the jumps and combined events contributed 65 of St. Norbert’s points in winning the team title at the NACC Indoor Championships.
SOUTH REGION – Jake Reed – Lynchburg
Reed, in his 10th year as assistant coach at Lynchburg, coached Hornet distance runners to account for 22 of Lynchburg’s 29 team points in finishing fourth at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships with two individual and a distance medley earning First-Team All-America honors. At the ODAC Indoor Championships his athletes scored 111 of Lynchburg’s 213 points in winning the team title.
WEST REGION – Emma DeLira – Pomona-Pitzer
DeLira, in her 12th year as Associate Head Coach at Pomona-Pitzer, coached two Sagehen distance runners to three qualifying marks for the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. Both Quinn White (3000 meters) and Cameron Hatler (5000) led the West Region, with White adding a No. 2in the 5000 just 0.06 seconds behind Hatler.
Women’s Track Athlete of the Year
EAST REGION – Fiona Mejico – Colby
Mejico, who hails from Manlius, New York, helped Colby bring home a national title in the 4x400m relay at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. The Mules got the baton around in 3:45.95 for the sixth fastest mark in NCAA DIII history. Earlier in the season she posted 1:15.80 in the 500 meters at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, a top-10 NCAA DIII time in its own right.
GREAT LAKES REGION – Faith Duncan – Wilmington (Ohio)
Duncan, who hails from Lebanon, Ohio, left the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships with a pair of wins in the 3000 meters and 5000 meters. Her 3000-meter performance of 9:22.45 set a new meet record and sits No. 3 on the NCAA DIII all-time list. At the 2025 OAC Indoor Championships a few weeks back, Duncan was named the Women’s Distance Runner of the Meet after a sweep of the mile, 3000 meters, and 5000 meters. Duncan remained undefeated throughout the 2025 campaign.
METRO REGION – Kayla Kass – Stockton
Kass, who hails from Bayonne, New Jersey, tallied a sixth place finish in the 800 meters at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, crossing the line in a personal best 2:10.71. Kass was also named G. Larry James Most Outstanding Athlete of the NJAC Indoor Championships thanks to a pair of wins in the 800 meters (2:12.05) and distance medley relay (12:09.60).
MID-ATLANTIC REGION – Kelty Oaster – Elizabethtown
Oaster, who hails from Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, reigned victorious across 800 meters at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, clocking 2:07.70. The mark slots Oaster as the No. 7 performer in NCAA DIII history – and fifth fastest on a flat track.
MIDEAST REGION – Haley Schoenegge – Vassar
Schoenegge, who hails from Prospect, Kentucky, walked off the track a champion in the mile at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, going 4:47.04, positioning her No. 11 on the NCAA DIII all-time list. Earlier in the season, Schoenegge won the mile in 4:52.77 and anchored the distance medley relay in 12:06.97 for another ten points at the 2025 Liberty League Indoor Championships. Both stand as new meet records.
MIDWEST REGION – Alyssa Busker – Elmhurst
Busker, who hails from Plainfield, Illinois, came runner-up in the 200 meters at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, three-tenths of a second away from a crown in 24.29. The time jumped Busker up to No. 7 in NCAA DIII history. Her 60 meter-performance of 7.56 notched an All-America nod as well with a fourth-place finish. Earlier in the season, Busker became the third fastest individual in the 60 meters in NCAA DIII history with her PR 7.45.
NIAGARA REGION – Brynn Mooney – SUNY Geneseo
Mooney, who hails from Honeoye Falls, New York, topped the 400-meter podium at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships in 55.69. Adding to her resume, Mooney aided the Knights to a seventh place finish in the 4x400m relay. Mooney set Empire 8 records in a trio of events: the 200 meters in 24.97, 400 meters in 55.32, and 4x400m relay in 3:49.20.
NORTH REGION – Lauren Jarrett – UW-La Crosse
Jarrett, who hails from La Crosse, Wisconsin, rewrote the all-time 60-meter list in NCAA DIII history this season. The UW-La Crosse standout ended 2025 with seven of the ten fastest marks on the chart, including a pair of 7.29 efforts at the top. Jarrett went undefeated against NCAA DIII competition this season and swept the short sprints at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. She also finished sixth in the 60 at the USATF Indoor Championships.
SOUTH REGION – Madison Tiaffay – Emory
Tiaffay, who hails from Alameda, California, finished fourth in the mile at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, shaving off more than four seconds from her previous best time of the season. That mark was also the second fastest among athletes in South Region history. Tiaffay also ended the season with the No. 2 performance among current South Region athletes over 800 meters.
WEST REGION – Riley Buese – Lewis & Clark
Buese, who hails from Denver, Colorado, documented a third place finish in the 5000 meters and added an eighth place finish in the 3000 meters at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, accounting for a pair of All-America honors. She entered the meet ranked No. 1 in the West Region in both events to go along with a No. 4 ranking in the mile.
Women’s Field Athlete of the Year
EAST REGION – Alexis Boykin – MIT
Boykin, who hails from Clayton, Ohio, swept the throwing events at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships and capped an undefeated season. Her PR mark of 20.91m (68-7¼) in the weight throw was the second best effort in NCAA DIII history. Earlier this season, Boykin added a pair of titles in those events at the New England Division III Indoor Championships.
GREAT LAKES REGION – Serena McNeilly – Centre
McNeilly, who hails from Radcliff, Kentucky, qualified in three field events for the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, ultimately earning two First-Team All-America honors in the high jump (second place) and triple jump (eighth place). Earlier in the season, McNeilly won both the high jump and triple jump at the SAA Indoor Championships and was named SAA Field Athlete of the Year.
METRO REGION – Rainah Dunham – Ursinus
Dunham, who hails from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, earned two First-Team All-America honors in horizontal jumping events at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships: fourth place in the triple jump; fifth place in the long jump. She was named the Centennial Conference Field Athlete of the Year and swept horizontal jump titles on two different occasions this season.
MID-ATLANTIC REGION – Aryana Paulena – Goucher
Paulena, who hails from Greenacres, Florida, scored 27 points in field events at the Landmark Conference Indoor Championships. She shared the high jump crown, and finished runner-up in both the pole vault and triple jump. Paulena was summarily named the Landmark Conference Field Athlete of the Year.
MIDEAST REGION – Allie Wildsmith – Coast Guard
Wildsmith, who hails from Bainbridge Island, Washington, won the high jump at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. Earlier in the season, Wildsmith cleared 1.80m (5-10¾) for the third best bar in NCAA DIII history and the highest in ten years. Wildsmith also added the eighth-, ninth- and 13th-best efforts in NCAA DIII history throughout the season.
MIDWEST REGION – Emma Seipel – Loras
Seipel, who hails from Nekoosa, Wisconsin, won the long jump at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. Earlier in the season, Seipel was named the A-R-C Conference Field Event MVP thanks to winning the long jump and finishing runner-up in the triple jump at the conference championships.
NIAGARA REGION – Janelle Eckl – SUNY Geneseo
Ecki, who hails from Pittsford, New York, finished fifth in the pentathlon at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. She amassed PR 3657 points in Rochester, New York. Ecki topped the Niagara Region in the combined event and was top-three in both the high jump and long jump.
NORTH REGION – Macie Todd – UW-La Crosse
Todd, who hails from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, won the high jump at the 2025 WIAC Indoor Championships and later placed fifth in the event at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. She cleared a PR 1.72m (5-7¾) at the UW-La Crosse Final Qualifier in early March.
SOUTH REGION – Nikki Boon – Emory
Boon, who hails from Dronten, Netherlands, became the first woman in NCAA DIII history to eclipse 4000 points in the pentathlon in winning the combined event at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. The Emory standout amassed 4061 points in Rochester, New York, and beat the runner-up by more than 300 points. Boon finished among the top-six athletes in the South Region in five different field events: pentathlon (No. 1), long jump (No. 1), high jump (No. 2), shot put (No. 3) and triple jump (No. 6).
WEST REGION – Kira Hawaaboo – Linfield
Hawaaboo, who hails from Enumclaw, Washington, finished fourth in the long jump at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. She soared 5.85m (19-2½), which barely missed her PR of 5.90m (19-4¼) that came at the Whitworth Invitational in mid-February.
Women’s Coach of the Year
EAST REGION – Julie Heyde – MIT
Heyde, in her second year as Director of Track and Field and Cross Country at MIT, led the Engineers to its first-ever team title at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. MIT scored 49 points in earning 12 individual All-American honors – led by shot put/weight threw champ Alexis Boykin – along with the distance medley relay.
GREAT LAKES REGION – Kori Stoffregen – DePauw
Stoffregen, in his 29th year as Head Coach at DePauw, led the Tigers to its first-ever team title at the 2025 NCAC Indoor Championships, winning eight events. DePauw, which set six program records this season, had 15 athletes earn All-Conference honors with two qualifying for the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships.
METRO REGION – Justin Lindsey – TCNJ
Lindsey, in his 12th year as Head Coach at TCNJ, led the Lions to the team title at the 2025 NJAC Indoor Championships, winning one event. TCNJ was ranked No. 1in the Metro Region and was the highest-finishing team at the AARTFC Indoor Championships, finishing fourth.
MID-ATLANTIC REGION – Reava Potter – St. Mary’s (Md.)
Potter, in her fourth year as Director of Cross Country/Track and Field at St. Mary’s (Md.), led the Seahawks to its first-ever team title at the 2025 UEC Indoor Championships, winning five events. Potter was named UEC Women’s Coach of the Year as St. Mary’s also earned Track Athlete, Field Athlete and Rookie of the Year awards.
MIDEAST REGION – Nate Hoey – Williams
Hoey, in his 12th year as Head Coach at Williams, led the Ephs to a seventh-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, qualifying athletes in 11 events. Williams, which set programs records in six events this season, won the team title at the New England Conference Indoor Championships, winning five events.
MIDWEST REGION – Jordan Bartolazzi – Elmhurst
Bartolazzi, in his eighth year as Director of Track & Field and Cross Country, led the Bluejays to a program-best tenth-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, with four athletes earning First-Team All-America honors. Elmhurst also won its first-ever team title at the CCIW Indoor Championships, winning five events and scoring a meet-record 160 points.
NIAGARA REGION – Christopher Popovici – SUNY Geneseo
Popovici, in his 11th year as Head Coach at SUNY Geneseo, led the Knights to a fifth-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, earning 11 All-America honors led by 400-meter champion Brynn Mooney. SUNY Geneseo also won the team title at the Empire 8 Conference Indoor Championships, winning nine events, and the AARTFC Indoor Championships.
NORTH REGION – Nickolas Davis – UW-La Crosse
Davis, in his eighth year as Head Coach at UW-La Crosse, led the Eagles to a third-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, earning All-America honors in 12 individuals – led by double champ Lauren Jarrett (60/200) and the 4×400 relay. UW-La Crosse also won the team title at the WIAC Indoor Championships, winning 11 events.
SOUTH REGION – Linh Nguyen – Emory
Nguyen, in his sixth year as Head Coach at Emory, led the Eagles to a ninth-place team finish at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, earning eight All-America honors led by Nikki Boon, who set a DIII record of 4061 points in winning the pentathlon. Emory also finished third at the UAA Indoor Championships, winning two events.
WEST REGION – Mike Schmidt – Redlands (Calif.)
Schmidt, in his 18th year as Head Coach of Redlands (Calif.), led the Bulldogs to qualify three athletes to the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. His athletes led the West Region in the high jump, triple jump and pentathlon.
Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year
EAST REGION – Todd Linder – MIT
Linder, throws coach for the national champion MIT Engineers, guided Alexis Boykin to national titles in the shot put and weight throw. Boykin recorded the second-best mark all-time in DIII in the weight throw, becoming the third woman to throw over 20 meters in the event.
GREAT LAKES REGION – Ron Combs – Wilmington (Ohio)
Combs, in his second year as middle-distance and distance assistant, guided Faith Duncan to sweeping the 3000m and 5000m at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. Duncan broke the championship record in the 3000 and was undefeated against DIII competition this season. In addition, in winning three events at the OAC championships, Duncan was the league’s MVP.
METRO REGION – Gavin Colley – Widener
Colley, in the second year at Widener, led an athlete to fourth place in the pentathlon at the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. Colley had a top-10 nationally ranked 60m #EventSquad and the Pride’s 4×200 won the MAC title in a conference record.
MID-ATLANTIC REGION – JT Klopcic – Goucher
Klopcoc, in the third year at Goucher, has assisted a group that was responsible for 47 of 64 points at Landmark Conference Indoor Championships. Athletes won the conference titles in the 60, 200, and 800. Nancy Nyadongo was the conference track athlete of the year.
MIDEAST REGION – Dusty Lopez – Williams
Lopez, in his ninth year at Williams, oversaw a middle- and long-distance group this year that qualified a DMR and runners in the 800m, mile, and 5000m to the 2025 NCAA DIII Indoor Championships where two scored.
MIDWEST REGION – David Stone – Elmhurst
Stone, in his seventh year as jumps coach for the Bluejays, had a crew that contributed 64 points in jumping events at the CCIW Indoor Championships, including a 1-2-3 sweep in the long jump. His long jump crew was also the No. 1 #EventSquad in the country.
NIAGARA REGION – Daniel Moore – SUNY Geneseo
Moore, who has led the Knights’ distance squad for ten years, coached three first-team All-Americans this season as SUNY Geneseo placed fifth at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. The distance group scored 115 points at the Empire 8 Championships. The Knights ranked in the national top-five #EventSquads at 800 meters, 3000 meters, and 5000 meters.
NORTH REGION – Katie Wagner – UW-La Crosse
The Eagles’ sprints, hurdles, and relays, have been overseen by Wagner for 15 years, and this year that crew produced 110 points that led to a fifth-straight WIAC title. Eight athletes combined for nine total entries at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. Lauren Jarrett swept the 60m and 200m at NCAAs while she tied her own NCAA DIII record in the 60m (7.29).
SOUTH REGION – Mike Dager – Washington and Lee
Dager, in his 11th year as Washington and Lee’s distance coach, marshalled the Generals to 96 points in distance events en route to an ODAC title. Two of his athletes, in the mile and 3000m, won conference titles and set championship records.
WEST REGION – Kolton Carlson – Whitworth
Carlson is in his eighth year coaching the Pirates throws program. Whitworth boosted the ninth-ranked shot put #EventSquad this season and Amblessed Okemgbo ranked No. 8 in DIII in the shot put individually and led the West region by over a meter.
