Sydney Duncan of IU Kokomo (Ind.) was named the 2025 NAIA Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Field Athlete of the Year. Duncan, who hails from Anderson, Indiana, obliterated her own NAIA record in the shot put with her winning 17.60m (57-9) heave at the 2025 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Gainesville, Florida. The IU Kokomo standout notched each of the top-seven throws in NAIA history this season and improved her NAIA record on three different occasions from 16.46m (54-0) in December eventually to 17.60m (57-9).
