Special Events at the 2013 USTFCCCA Convention

NEW ORLEANS – As if the numerous professional development opportunities offered throughout the duration of the 2013 USTFCCCA Convention (December 16-19) weren’t enough, attendees will get even more bang for their buck with complementary invitations to such special events as the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, the presentation of The Bowerman and several social outings.

As part of their registration, convention-goers receive admission to special events starting Monday, December 16, with the USTFCCCA Hall of Fame Dinner & Induction for the Class of 2013. Entering into the Hall of Fame as the Class of 2013 are Ron Allice, Al Cantello, Dennis Craddock, Curtis Frye, Jim Hunt and Paul Olsen.

One night later, attendees are invited to socialize over an evening of dinner and entertainment courtesy of USTFCCCA sponsor MONDO. The dinner will be held outdoors Tuesday, December 17, on the picturesque Fairway’s Lawn of the JW Marriott Grande Lakes Hotel.

Last, but certainly not least, convention-goers will be on hand the evening of Wednesday, December 18, for the presentation of The Bowerman to the top male and female collegiate track & field performers of the 2013 season. Men’s finalists Derek Drouin (Indiana), Lawi Lalang (Arizona) and Julian Wruck (UCLA) are up for the highest individual honor in collegiate track & field, as are women’s finalists Brigetta Barrett (Arizona), Kori Carter (Stanford) and Brianna Rollins (Clemson).

Attendees are also invited to join the winners and finalists for food and drinks at a post-event reception to be held on the beautiful Valencia Terrace of the JW Marriott Grande Lakes.

Registration for the 2013 USTFCCCA Convention is now open and can be completed here.
