Lisa Koll, Phoebe Wright Added to The Bowerman Watch List for First Time
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Wednesday the second update of the official watch list for The Bowerman as selected by The Bowerman Women’s Watch Committee. Joining the watch list for the first time is Iowa State’s Lisa Koll and Tennessee’s Phoebe Wright.
The 10 listed represent eight collegiate-leading marks from the 2010 season and three national records.
The Bowerman Advisory Board appointed four of its members to comprise The Bowerman Men’s Watch Committee and another four of its members to make up The Bowerman Women’s Watch Committee. The committee will release its next update, following the NCAA Indoor Championships, on Wednesday, March 17.
The three men and three women finalists will be named on July 13.

BOWERMAN WATCH LIST PROFILES
Jessica Beard, Jr., Texas A&M,

Beard clocked an all-conditions collegiate-leading 51.15 over 400 meters in winning the Big 12 title in the event for the third-straight year … the 51.15 is the fastest time ever by an American on an oversized track and the seventh-best in the World … Beard scored 20½ at the Big 12 Championships, which also included a second-place showing in the 200m and as anchor of the Big 12 Champ 4×400 team, helping the Aggies to their fourth-straight conference title … The 23.18, 200m clocking from the Big 12 meet places her No. 5 in the NCAA … 4×400-meter relay team is ranked No. 2 in the NCAA.

Harrison is the collegiate leader in the 60-meter hurdles, having clocked a 7.94 for a personal best and conference crown at last weekend’s ACC Championships … The 7.94 also places Harrison among the top 10 in the world in 2010 and ranks among the collegiate all-time top-10 … Harrison was a double winner at the ACCs, capturing victory in the 400 meters with a personal-best 53.06 time, which ranks No. 9 in the NCAA this season.
