The Dragons own eight top-10 marks, including three national leading marks. Jonte Baker became the third Dragon with a national leading mark at the USA Indoor Track & Field Championships this past weekend, clocking times of 6.67 and 6.62 in the 60 over three races before finishing eighth in the finals. He joins Cameron Burrows (high jump) and Nikolas Curtiss (shot put) as the top performers in their respective events.

The Orediggers continued to add to their national marks in the distance events. Dylan Ko (No. 4), Kyle Moran (No. 9), Vincent Work (No. 10) and Grant Colligan (No. 11) all ran seasonal bests in the 3000 at the Texas Tech Shootout for a push up the national rankings. Connor McLean also continues to be a top performer in the heptathlon and pole vault, owning the No. 1 and No. 2 marks in those events, respectively.

Staying in the mix are Lincoln (Mo.), Ashland and American International, as each program boasts numerous top-10 performances and national leading marks. Over the weekend, Benoit Campion for the Yellow Jackets clocked a national leading time in the mile, going 4:02.5.

Elsewhere within the top-10, Grand Valley State improved three spots to No. 7 and Central Missouri jumped two spots to No. 10. Central Missouri earned a new national leader in Jan Jansky, who took over the pole vault with a clearance of 5.25m (17-2 ¾).

Numerous teams set seasonal best rankings, which include Adams State (No. 12), Minnesota State (No. 14) and Emporia State (No. 13).

The Grizzlies improved four spots from No. 16 with a big performance from Carson Bix in the 3000. He improved upon his season best to move from No. 13 to No. 3 on the Descending Order List.

The Mavericks climbed 11 spots from their previous ranking of No. 25 a week ago. Connor McCormick is now ranked No. 6 in the weight throw and Caleb Kath improved to No. 7 in the long jump. Minnesota State now has three top performers, including Deveyonn Brown’s No. 2 ranking in the high jump.

Emporia State turned in two top-3 performances that helped the Hornets make the largest jump in the top-25, improving by 13 spots. Taysean Goodwin ran 46.65 in the 400 at the 5th Annual Indoor Gorilla Classic, which is the second fastest time of the year. He was also part of the 4×400 relay that is ranked No. 3 on the national performance list.

Be sure to continue checking back at the National Rating Index each Tuesday to see how the list evolves ahead of the 2020 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 13-14 in Birmingham, Alabama.
