Jacob Cornelio was named the NAIA Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. Cornelio, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.8, won the hammer throw at the 2021 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama. This is the first time Concordia has earned an NAIA Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year award, joining the 2019 indoor variety won by Cornelio.
