NAIA XC National Athletes of the Week (Sept. 29)
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Here are the NAIA Men’s & Women’s Cross Country National Athletes of the Week, as released on Wednesday afternoon by the NAIA National Office.
Men’s Athlete of the Week
Santiago Hardy, Antelope Valley (Calif.)
Santiago Hardy from Antelope Valley (Calif.) won the individual title in the Men’s Open Race at the UCR Invitational two weeks ago. Hardy covered the 8k course in 24:41.0, which was more than 16 seconds faster than the runner-up.
Women’s National Athlete of the Week
Becca Richtman, Montana Tech
Becca Richtman from Montana Tech won the individual title at the Montana Open against a host of NCAA Division I and NCAA Division II athletes. Richtman covered the 5k course in 16:49.9 and led the Diggers to a runner-up finish in the team standings.
