Micaela Degenero was named the NCAA Division I Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year. Degenero, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.89, won the mile at the 2022 NCAA DI Indoor Track & Field Championships in 4:33.92, more than one second ahead of the runner-up. This is the second year in a row that an athlete from Colorado has been named National Scholar Indoor Track Athlete of the Year (Sage Hurta, 2021).
