Johnathan Harper was named the NCAA Division II Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. Harper, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 4.0, won the heptathlon at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships with 5751 points to become No. 3 all-time in NCAA DII history. This is the second time that an athlete from Texas A&M-Kingsville has been named National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year for the indoor season.
