Ellianne Kimes was named the NCAA Division II Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Co-Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. Kimes, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 4.0, won the pole vault at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a jump of 4.25m (13-11¼). This is the first time that an athlete from Grand Valley State has been named National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year for the outdoor season.
