Ackelia Smith was named the 2024 NCAA Division I Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. Smith, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.37, swept the horizontal jumps at the 2024 NCAA DI Outdoor Championship. This is the first time in program history that an athlete from Texas has been named National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year for the outdoor season.
