Collin Dames of Joliet (Ill.) JC was named the 2025 NJCAA Division III Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. Dames, who maintained a term GPA of 3.84, swept the shot put, discus, hammer and javelin at the 2024 NJCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships. This is the second time in program history that an athlete from Joliet has been named National Scholar Athlete of the Year in outdoor track & field as Nathan Ciarlette is the National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year.
