Conner Mantz of BYU was named the Men’s Scholar Athlete of the Year for the 2021 NCAA Division I Cross Country season. Mantz, a senior from Smithfield, Utah, who majors in Mechanical Engineering, won the individual title at the 2021 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida. He is the first male athlete to win back-to-back Scholar Athlete of the Year honors in cross country since Grant Fisher in 2016 and 2017.
