Dillon Powell was named the 2023 NCAA Division II Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year. Powell, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.855, won the 5000-meter crown at the 2023 NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field Championships. This is the first time in program history that a male athlete from Colorado School of Mines has been named National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year in track & field.
