Kucera, a junior from Fremont, Nebraska, compiled 18 points in throwing events at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Yankton, South Dakota. He won the shot put with a mark of 18.27m (59-11¼) – capping an undefeated season in the process – and finished runner-up in the weight with a heave of 19.86m (65-2). Kucera, a two-time winner at the 2021 GPAC Indoor Championships, entered the meet ranked first in both events.
