Dylan Kucera of Midland (Neb.) was named the 2023 NAIA Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. Kucera, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.94, won the shot put at the 2023 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and finished runner-up in the hammer throw. This is the fifth time in program history that a male athlete from Midland has been named National Scholar Athlete of the Year in track & field. Kucera has now won five National Scholar Athlete of the Year awards (once previously outdoors and three times indoors).
