Emily Kearney was named the NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year. Kearney, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 4.0, won the 5000 meters and 10,000 meters at the 2021 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama. This is the first time Milligan has earned an NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year award. Kearney previously earned this award in 2019 while at SCAD Atlanta.
