Isaiah Schafer was named the NCAA Division II Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. Schafer, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.86, won the shot put at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a heave of 19.89m (65-3¼). This is the first time that an athlete from Davenport has been named National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year for the outdoor season.
